FAQ's:

What kind of childcare is offered at First United Methodist Church?

Children’s Ministry is much more than childcare! During our Sunday and Midweek services we

offer a safe and secure place for infants and toddlers, as well as age appropriate programs for

children 3-years old through 6th grade. We value the opportunity to provide an environment where

your child can fall deeply in love with Jesus.

What ages are accepted in the nursery?

On Sundays, we welcome all children, newborn-Kindergarten, to stay in our nursery. We believe

that once a child enters elementary school, they are able to participate in the worship services

with their family.

Can siblings or friends of different ages be in the same class?

Yes! If you bring a visitor or want to stay with your friends, we always want you to feel welcome.

Our learning environment, however, is tightly graded by age, so you might want to switch to

another room soon!

What do you do with the information on the registration form?

We only use the information to get to know you and your child better. We are able to identify

birthdays, send you updated ministry information and keep our records up to date. It is never

shared with outside organizations or individuals.

Does my child have snack time?

We do offer snacks in Children’s Ministry. Please note that because of the high incidence of

peanut allergies we do our best to avoid using any items containing peanuts. If your child has an

allergy to another food item please feel free to bring a suitable snack and/or make the nursery

supervisor aware of their allergy.

Is there anything that children should not bring with them?

It is preferable that children do not bring food (except in case of allergies) or toys into the nursery

with them. It is always best to suggest that things be left in the car or at home, that way there are

no lost toys or important items.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes, we always have a need for volunteers. The more our church grows the more volunteers! All of our staff are Safe Sanctuary trained, as well as First Aid and CPR Certified!! Come see what's happening in our ministry!! :)
